Today I went for a more  of a reminiscent of the louder colored "art Deco" clothing look. 

My colors are bright and loud which the patterns are vast and many being utilized.

Why do I choose to refer to it as reminiscent of the louder colored "art Deco" clothing look? 

Well, the answer is simple....

In comparison to Art Deco Art that was originally developed in the 1920's with a revival (return) in the 1960's, the patterns in the clothing from the 1920's are similar. 

Looking at the pasterns within this cute little dress (top & Skirt) puts me in the mind of Art Deco which is how I came to dub it as reminiscent of the louder colored "art Deco" clothing look. 

IF you Google "Art Deco" you will find the description showing that the designs are marked chiefly by geometric motifs, curvilinear forms, sharply defined outlines, often bold colors, and the use of synthetic materials, and in the original art plastics. 

The style in buildings, stairs, store faces as well as business faces (Clubs, etc) was highly popular in the 1920's and it popped up again in the 1960's.

Art Deco, also called style modern, movement in the decorative arts and architecture that originated in the 1920s and developed into a major style in western Europe and the United States during the 1930s.

No, Art Deco was not originally created in the 1960's like some would believe or think, it was only brought back to life in the 1960's but was highly fashionable in it's originating era of the 1920's (You can Google it to clarify accuracy if you doubt this information and you will be surprised).

Art Nouveau and Art Deco are NOT the same things (I'd briefly studied Art). They are two different styles. 

Art Nouveau was found in some amazing European churches and can still be found in churches today (It was found else where too but you will likely remember Art Nouveau within churches quicker) this style derived in 1890 and lasted until about 1910. 

So, it was a very popular culture in Art.

The difference between Art Deco and Art Nouveau is actually decorative details. 

Art Deco is Sleeker. 

And there is actually history within each Artistic design. 

World events preempted the birth of each one. 

Each one being a reaction to it's period. What does this mean?

Both the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements emerged as reactions to major world events. The Industrial Revolution and World War I, respectively. 

While both embraced modernist elements, they're easy to distinguish if you know what to look for.

OK so for the key characteristics I had to look these up to quote them correctly so I'll copy and paste each one so you can distinguish the difference more easily within your minds eye.

Since this is focusing mostly on the Art Deco I'll post it before Art Nouveau (thought Art Nouveau's birth was decades before Art Deco's)

Art Deco [from the wiki], on the other hand, emerged after World War I. In fact, the deprivations of the Great War years gave way to a whole new opulence and extravagance that defined the Jazz Age and the Art Deco aesthetic. The movement, prevalent from the 1920s until roughly the start of World War II, took its name from the 1925 Exposition Internationales des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes (say that ten times, fast), held in France and is characterized by streamlined and geometric shapes. It also utilized modern materials like chrome, stainless steel, and inlaid wood. If Art Deco dabbled with natural materials, they tended to be graphic or textural, like zebra skin or jagged fern leaves. As a result, Deco featured bold shapes like sunbursts and zigzags and broad curves. In fact, if you check out the spire of the Chrysler Building, the hotels of Miami's South Beach, or the "coffin nose" oif a 1935 Cord Model 810, you'll be staring at the very definition of Deco.

And now.....

Art Nouveau [from the wiki] (it means "new art," but you probably figured that out) reigned from roughly 1880 until just before World War I. Art Nouveau embraced Europe's new industrial aesthetic rather than challenging it. It features naturalistic but stylized forms, often combined with more geometric shapes, particularly arcs, parabolas, and semicircles (think of the paintings of Gustav Klimt, or the arches of the Eiffel Tower). The movement brought in natural forms that had often been overlooked like insects, weeds, even mythical faeries, as evidenced by Lalique jewelry or Tiffany lamps. The black and gold Kate Winslet doffs in the erotic portrait session scene in Titanic is quintessentially Art Nouveau.

Laughing, now that I actually put a little of my art training to use and really for no real good reason other than Second Life for the purpose of fashion.

 I'll quit babbling  about it and piece the styling together for you further in my avatars details or this could get into a lecture and very windy, which no one wants....Unless your intrigued by art.

I love taking in a beautiful Sunset. While I'd prefer the real one of the Beaches I'll settle for the ones here in Second Life. I treasure a beautiful sunset when I'm with Zeke, they are so simple yet romantic. Especially down on the beach. So with him being gone on his business trip I will stay home and relax in Second Life watching them alone or if he is able he will login on the Traveling Alt for him and we will partake in them together, which I'm satisfied just the same.

So while I'm watching the sun go down for a restful night on our sim I'll dream of him holding me in his arms  as we sit and watch the days sun fade until tomorrow when the sun will awake fresh and new.

Day dreaming while basking in the beautiful warm sun above our beach in our lovely little cuddle bubble.

It's been such a lovely day I felt the need to share that Spring in in the air...At 6:00 AM RLT it's currently 55 degrees and raining with 100% Precipitation but in Second Life the sun is full, bright and warm which adds a little sun to my day. If Zeke could be home with me in RL we'd lay in bed and snuggle the day way but sadly he's out of state on business for a few days...Sigh's. It's OK, he will be home to me in a few days and I'll love him up like I've not seen him in 6 months lol we'll both be happy, but for now I have the sun inwolrd.

I felt a bit 80's ish today. Zeke and I was slow dancing at home last night in RL (him doing his romantic thing, which I love) and we were listening to...Here it comes the dating nostalgia (laughs)...Lionel Richie's - Greates Hits....Alexa is AWESOME by the way! So, as I'm getting ready to go to work at Evolve located on the BOSL Sim in Secondlife while he's doing his RL payroll on the laptop in our home office, I thought why not do a little 80's retro with a little bit of a hip updated flare to go to work tonight. After I did the styling, I liked it so much I decided to do the notes for the styling so I could blog it later on tonight. I'll be on SL a little later tonight since it's Sunday night and he get's ready for the week ahead (does this every Sunday). Sometimes it's easy and relatively quick and other times it can be a nightmare....Especially if there are new hires. I may go in and see if I can help him do anything, which sometimes I can. *Smiles in RL* When I can help I feel like I've done something that is rewarding because I help him get done quicker so I can curl up in the chair with him and snuggle up with him but I have to shamefully admit that I'm really there just to be in his arms and the kisses are bonus. Of course he keeps teasing and taunting me about Valentines Day, so I can't wait (I'm excited and a little impatient to see what he's done this year, it was very sweet and romantic last year) until Valentines Day, because he said he has a surprise for me and that I will love it....I think I'll end up crying (yes he is just that sweet and a true romantic). It's been a nice day in Lakeland Florida today a lovely 75 as the night ages forward it's cooled to a mere 70 still warm enough for a sweater and a romantic walk on the beach....Which is just what we did a couple of hours ago when the twilight was birthing the night. So beautiful and now we will soon be retiring to the family room to snuggle in the over sized chair by the fireplace as Secondlife becomes a thought for the reminder of the night. I know that I will be back here sometime tomorrow whenever we get back home and Zeke goes into his home office to work on things for Monday, so I think I'll go ahead and get to the meaty goodness of this post so that I can go snuggle with my sexy man.

Hello!

I know it feels just right (Walks around singing I got a feeling by the  Black Eyed Peas) when you find that perfect summery type dress that you want to hang out or lounge around in all day during the cooler times but to be honest I am ready for fun in the sun! While the temps here in Lakeland Flare moderate and comfortable its far too chilly for me to want to be a total beach bum, but soon! I have a perfect outfit for when that time comes to blog...Even though I could totally blog it now as the weather is anything you want it to be here in SL. But for now Im lovin the colors and the style of my little beachy tease and I'm patiently waiting for when I can go lounge on our deck and swim in the in ground pool we have, Life is good and it doesnt matter which world Real Life or Second Life they are one in the same to me and it's all credited to the fact the two have merged nicely and became one. I'm getting ready for a job interview today and it's a professional position. It's not as a DJ or any part of a Club here in Secondlife.

As you can see the outfit I have chosen is classy and traditional for a profession within the professional workforce. While I will still be involved in clubs and doing my modeling and personal businesses such as Antisocial and Mera Luna Couture I choose to add other branches to my tree of employment.

By now, I'm sure your dying to know just what it is that I'm applying for....

Well to be honest it's a teaching job at a local high school here in Secondlife.

I won't disclose much more information about it just yet, only for the in case reason that I may or may not be hired. It does depend on my look, and my over all presentation of the class pitch and anything else I wish to strive for within this teaching position. I'd like to get it just simply because it wouldnt be a hard to follow class and the clubs I propose would be fun for all who'd choose to join them.

No, this isnt a RP for sex in the schools....This is a school that is teacher student based and it's about the actual RP of how school was and can be relived within your second life. I don't need into the debauchery RP for schools, to me that isn't fun and it's actually just creepy.

So, what I will do is once I find out if I've been hired...I'll post another blog as an update blog with a whole new look and background for the stage setting of the reveal...Did I or Didn't I?

Hello!

As I return to the modeling world I am delighted to see the shows again with all of their flash and flair, I feel like a child in a candy store when I attend these events.

Granted, I can't attend them all because I think my darling husband Zeke would protest it, only because when he wants to go somewhere in RL he wants to go not login on SL with me so that I can go to a fashion show lol.
It's OK thought because there are times I'd just rather go be with him on a beach somewhere.
I do like to dabble in SL while he is doing things for his business or working from home, I don't pass a moment up to spend time with him, no no because I'd rather spend my time with him in the first place.

While our lives change between the real world and the virtual world, we're still the same people, still married in the virtual world while we are together in the real world. That comes from knowing him in RL for many years and attending school together. Lol so the answer is No, we didn't meet online.

I have a crazy time adjusting to the time difference lol.
As silly as it seems I went from being 2 hours ahead of SL to now being 3 hours ahead of SL and I can't shake that lol.
One would think as long as I have been here I would have adjusted to that.
Real Life wise I have but its the SL+2 hours verses SL+3 hours that gets me every time lol.

What I enjoy the most with returning to the modeling world is the creativity within your fashion designs and styling's.

I'll be doing a series of blogs for Just Evolve since I am a new Live model for them and which is also a part of BOSL and company and located at The BOSL Pavillian. Which you can go to the logo for Just Evolve and click it and get a teleport directly to the store, but if your going to go why not have a look at the beautiful sim while your there? There are stores a plenty and its just a lovely place with a lovely little garden too.
